Our Glorious Master - Punya-sloka

The devotee is called punya-sloka. As one becomes purified by chanting the holy name of the Lord, so one can become purified simply by chanting the name of a holy devotee. The pure devotee of the Lord and the Lord Himself are non different. It is sometimes feasible to chant the name of a holy devotee. This is a sanctified process.

Srila Prabhupada on Ananta Caturdasi fasting

Prabhupada: Yes. Bhaktivinoda Thakura 13th, and 14th Ananta Caturdasi and Haridasa Thakura. So, this 14th September should be observed fasting, whole day.
 Devotee: Fourteenth is the advent of or the demise of Haridasa Thakura?

 Prabhupada: Yes

 Devotee: The death, I mean the disappearance

Prabhupada: Yes, but not for demise of Haridasa Thakura, but because that is Ananta Caturdasi Vrata, the, generally the fasting is observed till evening, up to 5 o'clock. The next day, Visvarupa Mahotsava, feasting.

Srila Prabhupada on fasting on Vamana Dvadasi

The next important day is on the 26th, no, 12th September, 12th September, 1970, the advent day of Sri Jiva Gosvami Prabhu. (pause) On that day there are three functions. First of all, Ekadasi, a special Ekadasi called Parsvaika Ekadasi. Then on that day, actually, Ekadasi according to calendar, Ekadasi was to be observed on the 11th September, but because the next day is Vamana Dvadasi.... Vamana Dvadasi means the advent of Lord Vamanadeva. Therefore we have fast., Ekadasi fasting, and we observe two fastings in one day, Ekadasi and Vamanadeva, Vamana Dvadasi. The same process as we observe Ekadasi, and the evening there should be a meeting discussing on the life and work of Srila Jiva Gosvami. He is one of the very important acaryas in our sampradaya, so especially his Sandarbhas should be discussed.

You have asked me several questions about the deity worship in Los Angeles, so I shall answer them one after another: Your first question, shall Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī's feet be showing, the answer is no, they should never be seen. Kṛṣṇa's feet, however, should be showing.

Letter to Dhruvānanda

My Dear Pariksit dasa,

Please accept my blessings. I am in due receipt of your letter dated September 13, 1974 and have noted the contents. The answers to your questions are as follows:

1. Regarding Krsna das Kaviraja, there is no such information, but as far as possible, he was brahmacari.

2. Lord Nityananda and the associates appeared in the room.

3. The stick held by Lord Nityananda is like your sketch.

4. The bodily hues of the devotees of Lord Nityananda, why green? But, it can be done, there is no harm.

5. You can continue not showing Srimati Radharani's feet.

Radhashtami Celebrations 2015

The appearance day of Srimati Radha Rani was celebrated here at Hare Krishna Centre with a very number of devotees who came from all around from Jaipur and nearby places.

First of all we had a long sankirtan and melodious aratis from our devotees 

Then we had a very good lecture by Dayalu Nitai Prabhu,President,Hare Krishna Community about Srimati Radha Rani and enjoyed about Her glories and pastimes

We had a number of videos showing the qualities,paraphernalia, pastimes of Radha Rani

They cannot change anything

Srila Prabhupada: "The nonsense, they are correcting my translations. Rascal. The rascal editors, they are doing havoc. So you bring this to Satsvarupa. They cannot change anything … So on the whole, these dangerous things are going on. How to check it? It is very serious situation. You write one letter that “Why you have made so many changes?” And whom to write? Who will care? All rascals are there. Write to Satsvarupa that “This is the position. They are doing anything and everything at their whim.” The next printing should be again to the original way."

One who is transcendentally advanced can gain direct inspiration from the temple Deity, and thus a devotee of the Lord always take shelter of a recognized temple of the Lord in order to make tangible advancement in transcendental knowledge by the grace of the Lord.
